Commissions Funding Group, LLC (CFG) was founded by Leo J. Cohen in 1999, and is headquartered in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Company focuses its lending activities in the insurance industry.

Leo J. Cohen

In 1994, Mr. Cohen developed the prototype for asset-based lending against insurance agency renewal income in order to fund expansion for one of his clients. When subsequent investigation established that no other organization was serving the borrowing requirements of insurance agencies, he formed CFG to meet that need.

Over the intervening years, and many such transactions later, the Company has become a leader in creative financing solutions for the insurance industry. Mr. Cohen’s concept of leveraging agency assets to meet capital funding needs has become highly developed and thoroughly refined.
